Global Knowledge launches Cisco Channel Academy

Cisco Channel Academy

Mechelen, June 30, 2017 - Global Knowledge has established the Cisco Channel Academy in order to support the Cisco partners in the sales process.

What is the Cisco Channel Academy?

The Cisco Channel Academy is a Global Knowledge training program for commercial employees working at Cisco Channel Partners. The program covers the basics of all sales activities combined with Cisco product knowledge. The Cisco Channel Academy aims to fundamentally improve the performance of commercial employees working in the Cisco channel. We do this by further developing employees' basic knowledge of Cisco products and supplementing it with specific commercial skills in the space of a few training sessions.

  • Inside sales employees
  • Account Managers
  • (Pre-sales) consultants
  • Sales Managers working at Cisco Channel Partners

Modulair program

The Cisco Channel Academy program is set up in modules and contains the following subjects:

  • Cisco product-oriented training courses (knowledge)
  • Sales training courses (skills)

The training courses are held on location at Global Knowledge or, if desired, on location at the Cisco partner or at Cisco.

All modules can be combined in consultation with the customer. For example, a choice can be made from the following themes for the product-oriented modules: Collaboration, Data Center, Security, Wireless or Enterprise Networking. You learn which products and services fall under each theme, where and how the various products and services can be positioned, who is the competition and how you can beat this competition.

The subjects for the sales skills training can also be specified in consultation with the partner. Examples of subjects are: Calling Skills (conducting a call, gaining trust), Account Management (solution-oriented sales, customer analysis, call structure) and Creative Negotiation (maximizing deal size and margin).

Cisco Sales Fundamentals training

Sales employees working within the Cisco channel who want to gain knowledge of Cisco products, can also take the Cisco Sales Fundamentals Training as part of Global Knowledge's flexible schedule. In just two days, you learn about Cisco's products and services, how you can position them in the market, who the target group is and so on. You also learn the skills you need to optimally sell Cisco's products and services to your customers. This course is just € 795 per person. Read more about this course.
