This bootcamp consists of 2 back2back courses that are for VMware partners only, the vSphere Capacity Planner (VSCP) and vSphere: Design Best Practices (VSD).

At the end of the VSCP part, you will be able to:
- Understand the general concepts of server consolidation analysis and the typical challenges involved
- Use Capacity Planner to simplify the assessment process and provide decision support data to create a consolidation plan
- Use Capacity Planner to model consolidation scenarios – scenarios tailored to the individual needs of specific customers
- Conduct customer interviews designed to elicit information relevant to consolidation projects and TCO/ROI analysis
At the end of the VSD part, you should understand the process and principles involved in designing vSphere architectures:
- Discuss the importance of a thorough design process
- Describe steps to include in a design process
- Evaluate business needs and design considerations
- Implement best practices to meet business needs
Best practices and lab exercises are interspersed throughout the course.
